Peter Grant is one of only two members of a very special branch of London's Metropolitan Police. He is, in fact, pretty much a wizard and it's his job to investigate those shadowy crimes that involve urban vampires, weird folk in the underground and, in this case, why cars are suddenly taking on lives of their own and killing innocent folk!
Written by Doctor Who writer Ben Aaronovitch (Remembrance of the Daleks) and set in the world of his own bestselling novels, with Doctor Who showrunner Andrew Cartmel!

Good story (and I have given the real novels by Aaronovitch 4 and 5 stars) though in print it would at best be just a part of a short story. As for the comics part, the art is typical modern comic book ( sorry graphic novel) but you are buying one chapter at a time which makes it overpriced from my standpoint. Also if you read your Amazon Kindle files using the Mac OS X Amazon kindle application (version 1.12.4 (41014) of September 28, 2015) you need to know that the file format used for these comic book chapters will not work in that app. The error msg is "the item is not compatible with this device" Your option is to read it on your iOS device or with the Kindle Cloud reader from https://read.amazon.com. I did not dig out my old grayscale kindle to check but I expect even if it does load the way it would look in lowres grey on one of them would not provide a pleasant reading experience.Product details

Rivers of London Body Work #1 Digital Exclusive Edition eBook Ben Aaronovitch Andrew Cartmel Lee Sullivan Luis Guerrero Reviews
A wonderful addition to the Rivers of London Series of books, the graphic novels are both vivid in style and in storytelling.
There is magic, there is police work, there is humor and there is Toby.... and in the second series, two other characters so vital to the books.
As a reader, to live in a world with more Ben Aaronovitch, in multiple formats (book and graphic novels) is a joy that I haven't experienced since the 1990 Doctor Who New Adventures Era. And it is a fantastic thing.
Aaronovtch simply can't write these books fast enough. While I would prefer full blown novels, the comic book was not a bad idea.
I'm a big fan and I was bitterly disappointed that I cannot read the kindle version on my 17" macbook. Really? I had to return it.
I'd think they'd have fixed that problem or at least provided a hardcopy option.
I love the novels and this format. This is a comic book. It is a serial publication. But the characters are the same. Since there are drawings, there is much less description needed. I'm not crazy about having to wait to get the next issue, but it does take me back to my childhood waiting for the next Superman. And having the fun of rereading the previous issues as a refresher.
It's a comic book, or graphic novel. I don't know why this isn't clearly indicated by .
The story is actually broken up across 5 "books." After the story there are a few additional
features but the fonts are so tiny I wasn't willing to strain my eye to see what they said.
One nice thing about this story is that it is easier to understand when some of the language
might be too British for an American reader. The pictures do help. Another problem is that
didn't get the volume numbers right so I ended up reading some of parts of the
story out of order.
The graphics are good. I thought some of the text bubble placement was confusing. It was
tricky understanding the order things were said. I think the price was ok, but I managed to
read the entire series in less than an hour.
This is, what I believe to be described as, a graphic novel - that is, a comic book not written on paper but electronically, but with the typical comic book artistry. I definitely enjoyed the story; it was too short, but very interesting. The art work is very good also. I do not like the comic book in any form nor have I ever cared for it. Not something I feel I will buy again because of the format. I am sure many others will find it pleasing.
I love the novels, but this piece of a graphic novel was a waste of money. It wasn't clear in the description that this is just one, inconclusive chapter. Not much happens, and the humor that makes the novels so enjoyable is missing. It doesn't show well on a , and the style of the graphics is not particularly unique.
